Taking lessons with Ridvan is truly a stimulating and engaging experience. After studying Turkish for about eight months, I had almost completely dropped it for over a year and thought I would have to start again from scratch, or nearly so. Instead, after assessing my level, he immediately challenged me with fairly demanding texts and dialogues, realizing that I had studied a lot in the past and that starting with overly simple lessons would only be a waste of time and probably boring. I’m genuinely enthusiastic about Ridvan also because he tailors each lesson to the student: after every Italki class, he takes the time to create a personalized file that becomes the foundation for the next lesson. I’m very satisfied and I truly hope to finally unlock my Turkish, such a wonderful language— not excessively difficult in itself, yet somehow very hard for many Europeans to speak and especially to understand.
