Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Amalia, i am 25 years old and i am a certified greek language tutor with specialization in linguistics and over 3 years of experience. I hold an BA in Greek philology, an MA in special education, educational psychology and and a certificate in teaching Modern greek as a second/ foreign language. Currently, i teach modern and ancient Greek in private lessons to greek students, but i can teach Greek language in English as well.

A really positive first lesson. Amalia is very personable and took the time to find out what I already knew. She clearly is aware of the more challenging aspects of the language and worked hard to explain things in a way that made sense. The pace was just right – and Amalia was patient and encouraging throughout. She created a supportive atmosphere that really made me want to learn. I truly am looking forward to the next lesson already.

I am very happy and lucky to have found Amalia as a teacher for Greek lessons. My original teacher retired and it was difficult to find someone who could replace her. Amalia is the perfect match for my skills and the perfect substitute for my original teacher. She is attentitive and understands my strengths and weaknesses and knows how to proceed with providing lessons. Amalia is an extremely gifted and fun teacher who is able to fit lessons to the students needs no matter what speaking level they are at. Amalia has successfully given me the skills to read Greek books & converse with Greek people all while keeping the lessons fun and interactive 10 / 10
