Girish is an incredible teacher who teaches Kannada in his own fun ways. It is also so fun when he tells me about the amazing places he goes to. He also goes to places awfully fast: one day he is in Nepal and the other he is in Ladakh.Every time I finish class, I learn so many new things about the language. The way he teaches it really just makes it stick to your head. He teaches so well that I am almost able to fluently speak Kannada with my grandmother.I look forward to the next class every time I finish one! Girish is my dearest teacher. Another wonderful learning experience with my Kannada teacher. We explored topics such as Buddhism and we also reviewed a philosophical text by Swami Vivekananda, that my former manager in BengaLuru shared with me, which helped me reflect on ideas related to always believing in oneself, not counting on others' validation or understanding and never giving up in life. My teacher created an engaging environment where I felt encouraged to ask questions, share my thoughts, and appreciate the richness of Indian philosophy and literature. I truly appreciate the patience, knowledge, and openness my teacher brought to each session. The discussions were insightful and made learning Kannada a meaningful and enriching experience. 🙏

I've really been enjoying my Kannada lessons with Girish. Every class feels relaxed and encouraging, which has made it so much easier to build my confidence speaking. Girish is incredibly patient. He gives me the time I need to think, form my own sentences, and express myself instead of rushing in with the answers. That approach has helped me improve much faster than I expected. I am grateful to my teacher Girish for helping me learn and understand the Kannada patriotic song “Naanu KannaDada Kanda.” His guidance made the learning process enjoyable and meaningful. I had searched for patriotic Kannada songs on ChatGPT because I wanted to find texts where I could learn beautiful vocabulary, and this song became a wonderful choice. With Girish’s support, I was able to appreciate the meaning, pronunciation, and richness of the Kannada language while improving my vocabulary. His patience, encouragement, and knowledge helped me connect more deeply with the song and the culture behind it. I truly appreciate the effort he put into teaching me and making the experience memorable.

I had my Kannada class with Girish while he was travelling in Leh, and it was such a unique experience to be learning while getting a glimpse of the incredible landscapes he was walking through during our class. We explored interesting Kannada words, I tried to explain my crazy new work, and then I got to ask him all about his trip. One of my questions was about the local trick for dealing with “soroche” (altitude sickness) in Ladakh — something we both know from our South American experiences! I absolutely love my classes with Girish. He is so easy to talk to, incredibly helpful, and every session is filled with laughter. Beyond learning Kannada, I always leave our classes with great conversations and memorable moments. He has a wonderful way of making learning feel natural, fun, and meaningful.

I really enjoy my lessons with Girish. We have been working on texts that are challenging for me because written Kannada can be quite different from spoken Kannada. However, he has a great way of guiding me through the difficulty and making the material feel approachable and manageable. He helps me break down the challenges step by step, and now I genuinely look forward to exploring these texts. I’m very grateful for his patience, encouragement, and teaching approach. I really appreciate his generosity with his time. We reached the end of our lesson time but he was keen to finish the text we were working on rather than leave it unfinished.
