This was my second lesson with Carina and it was very good and productive. We went over a topic that I struggle with (future tense) in a very organized manner. She was prepared for the lesson and put together a grammar/exercise document which we went through during the lesson. Towards the second half we had a discussion about real and interesting topics which is extremely useful for me. I was able to practice talking about more technical/real topics rather than generic day to day conversation, which for me is very valuable and motivates me to progress further. Overall, I think Carina's lesson and approach was excellent, I will definitely be scheduling more lessons with her in the future!

I enjoyed the class with Carina very much. She was very helpful and supportive and gave me some great language tips for my upcoming trip to Austria, and some great gastronomic recommendations also - I look forward to trying Austrian Brettljause! Highly recommend Carina as a teacher.

I hate having to leave such a negative review as I was excited both about the potential tutoring and the tutor. A few hours before our scheduled session I was notified that my tutor was a bit under the weather and unable to make it. No worries, it happens. She did ask if I would like to move the lesson to another day. I replied that I would like to move it to the same time one week later. I remember receiving a message that the lesson had been rescheduled but can no longer find it. I'm new to italki so perhaps I didn't confirm the rescheduled lesson. I was under the assumption that it was automatic. If this was a mistake, a refund of my credits would alleviate the situation and I will remove this review. As it stands now I paid for a lesson that was not cancelled by myself, was not administered by the tutor, was not rescheduled, and I have not received a credit refund. I'm also willing to give this tutor another try if we can reschedule using the credits I've already spent.
