Graduate Student, Actor and Language Enthusiast Hi! I am Devika. I am from the metropolitan city of Mumbai. I am currently pursuing my postgraduate degree in Economics and Finance in London. I am a native speaker of Hindi and Malayalam, and I am proficient in English as well. I am also a theatre enthusiast and a working actor. I have mostly taught the languages to high school students in an informal environment. I have also volunteered to teach English and Hindi to people from remote villages in India. My lessons primarily focus on the requisites of a language, which include conversation, writing, and grammar. I create an atmosphere conducive to my students so that they can freely interact with me and clarify their concepts. I also employ various visual aids like flashcards, images, videos, presentation slides, etc. to ensure an engaging and energetic class. At the end of the class, I give some fun exercises for students to practice what they learned during the session.

Devika is an outstanding teacher. She guages the student's level and puts in so much creative work to come up with a unique lesson plan. The kind of preparation and follow up she does is more than any other teacher I know of. She truly goes above and beyond the regular teaching job to deliver an amazing experience of Malayalam language, culture, & history, all while improving the student's skills in an enjoyable and fascinating hour.
