🌼 When I was a university student, I worked as a private tutor for junior and senior high school students for nearly 10 years. After that, I spent about 15 years at an organization supporting technical intern trainees and a Japanese language training center.
🌼 I love animals and plants! I especially adore dogs and cats, and I enjoy creating watercolor and digital illustrations of them. 🐶😸💕
🌼 I’ve traveled to Taiwan 🇹🇼 and Australia 🇦🇺—both were amazing!

In addition to the above, textbooks can be used for those who wish. Several examples are posted in the “日本語文法のお部屋📕🖍️Japanese Grammar Room”.

You can send me a photo or PDF of your writing before class, and I’ll review it with you during the lesson. Feel free to submit it whenever it’s convenient!

Lessons are available for junior high school students and adults.
🍄 Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within 24 hours of the lesson start time, the full lesson fee will be charged.
🍄 Lesson Timing
Please join the lesson right on time! If you arrive early, I may still be teaching another student or away from my desk.
🍄 Lesson Duration
Each lesson includes a 5-minute break at the end. Here’s how the actual lesson time works:
30-minute lesson → 25 minutes of instruction
45-minute lesson → 40 minutes of instruction

If you are looking to start learning Japanese, or wanting to get better at it, I can highly recommend Yukie Sensei. Individually, she meets you language skill needs, challenges you so you can get better and supports you on the way. Her materials that she provides helped me so much to get better. Today was interesting and fun! I had a sake festival coming up soon that I'm going to and I wanted to practice some common phrases/words that would be useful for that kind of situation. Yukie Sensei found a helpful website that had a brunch of phrases that could be used! We practiced reading through them all so tons of kanji/vocab practice there
After that sensei had us roleplay being a customer/shop worker situation at revolved around purchasing sake/alcohol at a shop. We switched off both roles, I thought it was really creative!
At the end we had some general conversation on current events, really good class and we did all lot!

Yukie-san is eager to help when I don't understand something. She takes her time to explain grammar or vocabulary using examples and exercises. We also have time for a small chat and laugh while learning. Thank you!

I love my lessons with Yukie-san because we have time to work on grammar, do some exercises and have a little chat. I appreciate her sense of humour and benevolence, she makes you feel at ease and it helps a lot in learning Japanese:-)

Super fun class this time, Sensei helped me prepare for an upcoming sake festival I have coming up. She shared a website which was perfect for learning sake related items and we worked through tons of questions together and I got tons of reading and vocab practice in.
We also tend to start the class off with a lot of verbal conversation practice which I love. It's great practice for me and I hope to so get to the point where I know enough, so I can ask more questions to sensei and not just talk about myself 😂
