Hi! My name is Jakob, and I'm a Danish and English teacher living in Uruguay. I teach my students by having fun with them, engaging them in the everyday conversations they can actually use and making the language feel comfortable and exciting. I grew up on a small island in the south of Denmark, and moved around the country a lot before finally leaving it. One benefit of moving around like this is how many people have commented on my incredibly neutral dialect. I'd love to pass that on to you!ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I have been teaching English and Danish for 3 and 2 years respectively.
I teach by seeking out the specific goals and interests of my students, so they get to talk about all the things that matter the most to them. A common dogma between language teachers is to harshly demand that only the target language be spoken, and while practice is key, my personal experience show that clarification questions in a more comfortable tongue can go a long way in terms of actual understanding of the subject.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
My classroom is a comfortable space to learn where practicing the target language in speech is the main focus. I use "vi taler dansk" and "Sådan!" as textbook material, and various resources provided by the ministry of immigration of Denmark.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

Jakob is a fantastic teacher, and his passion for teaching really comes through in every lesson. I’ve been learning basic Danish, and Jakob creates a comfortable and engaging learning environment, which has made the process much more enjoyable. He has a great way of ensuring that your understanding of grammar and concepts is solid before moving on, and when it comes to speaking, he’s patient, speaks clearly and slowly, and regularly checks for comprehension. Each class has been both enjoyable and rewarding. I look forward to continuing my lessons with Jakob. Mange tak!

Jakob was able to engage me in verbal conversation starters immediately after speaking about my goals. I really appreciated this as I am self-conscious of my Danish pronunciation, so it is good to have immediate feedback and tips on how to pronounce certain letters. Excited to attend more classes
