Hi! I’m Shin, a native Japanese speaker and Japanese cuisine chef living in Japan.
I have several years of experience as a volunteer English teacher and understand the challenges of learning a second language.
I love traveling, delicious food, hot springs, and enjoying the outdoors. My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and tailored to your pace.

Because I’m also studying English, I know exactly how it feels to struggle, lose motivation, or feel frustrated when learning a new language.
That’s why my goal is to create fun, stress-free Japanese lessons so you can speak with confidence while enjoying the process.
I’m patient, supportive, and will adapt each lesson to your needs.

Shin San was awesome. We were able to have a good conversation and he kept the conversation flowing smoothly. He is encouraging and patient and has an interesting background. Looking forward to booking another lesson with him.

Shin sensei is always kind, optimistic and caring. Because he also studies English, it’s easier to communicate the meaning of new words I don’t understand. I always learn a lot of new words and phrases from every session.

I always learn something new from Shin Sensei. I appreciate how he teaches me how Japanese people would say certain phrases. He also specifies outdated words that Japanese people would not use as much anymore. I highly recommend Shin Sensei.

Shin sensei is very patient and provides useful feedback, especially providing useful phrases to use. For someone like me who is not confident, regular conversation practice is invaluable.
