I did 10 lessons with Masumi-sensei, and I learned a lot! I recently got the JLPT N3 and took the Custom-Made Course, as I know better what area to work on. Masumi-sensei created the right environment for me to speak a lot and was patient when I struggled or made mistakes. She let me finish before kindly correcting me or providing a more natural way to say something. We do everything in Japanese and use English as a last resort. We usually combine reviews of Minna no Nihongo to consolidate my knowledge, reading a news article, and role-playing everyday life situations. She always asks for feedback, so the lesson remains relevant to my goals. I highly recommend trying some lessons with Masumi-sensei!

Masumi-san is very good at tailoring the lesson to target my exact goals! She incorporates a variety of different activities to keep things interesting. Masumi-san is also very friendly and easy to talk to, so you don’t have to worry about trying new things or making mistakes. She will correct and teach new vocabulary in a very relaxed way though so you can keep your momentum for your next thought. I would recommend lessons with Masumi-san!

Masumi-san is a great teacher! She is easy to talk to and speaks at the perfect pace. I get nervous when speaking Japanese but I felt very encouraged and understood. I highly recommend Masumi sensei!
