Hi there! This is Helen Tian and glad to meet you here! I'm living in Tianjin now, a city nearby Beijing.
Since graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University, I have been working as a professional Chinese teacher for more than 9 years.
I'm more Specialized in teaching adults, especially total beginners.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I used to teach for classes in universities in Beijing for around 2 years, then switched to online lessons.
There was 3 years that I taught on italki as a full-time job, and I got quite famaliar with this website as well the way to interact with students online.
Later I joined an education company to produce teachimg materials for online Chinese classes.

In our class, we will follow a certain textbook and focus on appling the vocabulary and grammar in daily use, such as making conversations or explaining the situation that the expression could be used.
Also, I like sharing some interesting knowledge about the characters when learning new words, like what you see in my video.

I love that Helen always encourages me to speak more Chinese. During class we follow a textbook but we also have conversations about different topics. She also incorporates new vocabulary. I enjoy her classes a lot and I always learn something new in each class. For those of you that also study writing, Helen knows a lot about characters and how they are formed and their meaning.

I've started learning Mandarin as an absolute beginner and thanks to Helen, I haven't found it at all daunting. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to learn with a teacher like Helen. She's knowledgeable, warm and encouraging. I look forward to learning a lot with her support. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I've been studying Chinese with Helen for a year or more and I highly recommend her. Class is always fun but Helen is also structured and has a disciplined approach that combines progressing while also constantly reviewing and correcting. It's highly effective and I've gone from no knowledge of Chinese to using the language at work to communicate with clients.
