I have taken about 30 lessons with Vanessa now, she is a wonderful teacher. We are able to speak about a variety of topics (culture, art, politics, movies, etc.) and I have improved my speaking and listening a lot under her guidance. She is very knowledgable about a variety of topics, and is great at providing translations of high-level words or concepts in English, when I don't know the Spanish. When I have requested a structured lesson on something grammatical that I didn't comprehend well (such as the Pretérito pluscuamperfecto de subjuntivo), she is always willing to provide this. She also has a great sense of humor and provides a fun, as well as professional, learning environment. I have made a lot of progress with this great teacher! Highly recommend

The exercises are tailored to my abilities. Vanessa gradually increases the difficulty level of new exercises in order to build on my existing skill set. She uses a lot of examples and is always willing to go back to study areas where I am weakest in my comprehension.
