Sophia-san is amazing — after taking lessons with her, I feel much more confident, and she makes me feel comfortable communicating in Japanese using the words I already know. She has also really motivated me to keep learning and trying. I am very grateful for her patience. Before taking her lessons, I could hardly speak Japanese. I am leaving on Monday for a one-month work-related visit to Japan, and I am now excited and looking forward to using the Japanese I learned to explore a new city and culture. She celebrates even my smallest progress, which motivates me to keep learning and expressing myself in Japanese. She always discusses my learning goals with me and asks for feedback at the end of each lesson. After every lesson, she sends a clear and helpful PDF summary with key sentences, grammar, and phrases, plus practice exercises as homework. These are extremely useful for review.
