I’m Akhila from Kerala, Trivandrum—a hospitality graduate turned Tribal Resort Manager in Eastern India, where I empower indigenous communities through English and sustainable International tourism. With my 5+ years of teaching experience to students of ages 3 to 80, I could blend my hotel industry expertise with a passion for cultural exchange. I enjoy gaming on my PS4, cooking, and dancing. I have been taking English tuition for many students aging from 3-80 from all over the world, through online platforms for almost 5 years now. Most of my students are from Japan and Korea. Since I'm from a hospitality background and having ample experience teaching and interacting with Tribal communities, I can adjust very well with people of all sorts and make them feel comfortable. I will be preparing tailored lesson materials for my students according to their need and requirements. I will make sure you feel comfortable and motivated. We learn better by making mistakes, so be relaxed to make mistakes while we have our lesson. I mainly focus on helping my students with improving their conversational English, as it is the main part of improving your Spoken English. Business English, English for traveling, TOEFL and IELTS preparation, English for beginners and Children are also the subjects I help my students with. Thanks so much for the lesson, it was fun! A lot of new words learned from context, a lot of cultural insights. Akhila is great at meeting my expectations as a learner - I asked her not to use English in class so she is using proper Malayalam, explaining the new words to me with easier ones, but staying in Malaylam - for full immersion - just what I need :) She also is a very open person which is super helpful when you don't only want to learn a language but also the culture. Looking forward to our next class!
