Bonjour, My name is William and I am a native French tutor. I have worked for 4 years in Japan, mainly in the hospitality industry, so I can speak also Japanese (and English). My hobbies are cinemas, sports (especially martial arts), manga, and learning new things: recently, I started to learn programming on my own. A bientôt! 初めまして。ウィリアムと申します。フランス人です。以前、5年間ぐらい日本に住み、３年間ぐらいホテル関係な仕事をしたので、日本語も話せます。そして、もちろん英語もできます。趣味は映画、スポーツ（特に武道）、漫画、新しいことを学ぶことです。最近、プログラミングを勉強しはじめました。よろしくお願いします。 A bientôt!

I am someone very patient. To me, it is very important to take the necessary time to explain a rule if the student doesn't understand a point. Also, instead of saying "c'est comme ça!"(That's the way it is), it is really important to explain the "why", even if I have to look for it after the class. I am also a language learner So I can understand the difficulties of learning a new language. I can speak English and Japanese, and I am currently learning Chinese, and I am struggling to learn this one. However, what I do know is learning a language requires a lot of repetition for remembering the vocabulary and the sentence construction.

Regarding my teaching method, it could be a conversation: we can start with small talk, we can also talk about a more serious topic or you can even talk about your everyday life. Anyway, the most important thing is to practice your conversation skills. Another way is, of course, learning grammar... Rules... Not fun? Really? I like grammar and I think it is very important to learn grammar because it will help to understand the structure of the sentences and help to improve your French. To finish, we can also use text: it could be dialogue or articles. I think using dialogue is a good way to practice situations, especially for beginners. Reading will help you to improve pronunciation.
