Jennie

As an italki student for over three years, make a commitment, take regular classes once you have found a good tutor, take notes for things you need to learn during your class, study in between sessions... and stick with it. This is the best method I have found. I'll be with Jennie 선생님 for a long time!! Our freetalking time is valuable to gather expressions that I need to work on, her slides and examples are simply the best, and her lesson planning should not be taken for granted, i.e., there are a lot of italki tutors who do not plan as well. And let's be honest, the value of her lessons vs. the price of her class is unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and book many classes with her!!

The first lessons I've had so far were w/ Jennie, & wow I think she has set the bar REALLY high for me! During our lessons, she's very energetic & enthusiastic. She's also very attentive, any time you don't know a word, she makes sure to write it out! After a lesson, she sends you feedback that lets you know what your strengths are & areas of improvement--attached with a list of the vocab that you learned during your session! Another thing I really appreciate is being able to message her at any time with Qs about certain cultural topics or anything we talked about in the previous lesson. Great about providing materials, & if you message in Korean, she's very quick to respond, & actively corrects your grammar! I've never met a language tutor as dedicated as her. She even remembers details about u from previous lessons, which she incorporates in her next ones, all of which are completely original & specially curated by her! If you're a serious learner, Jennie is 100% invested in YOU!

She is really nice and patient! I have a lot of trouble making sentences but she was very helpful and let me talk. She also gave occasional feedback which is exactly what I asked for; I didn't want too much or too little.

It is amazing how much progress I am making with Jennie! And I am having so much fun in our lessons and look forward to them. Jennie tailors the lessons to my skill level and what I need to work on, and sends me the material she has prepared after the lesson so I can review it. Lessons with Jennie help me structure my self-study time and she is so encouraging! I find myself wanting to study diligently between our lessons so I can match her energy and effort. I highly recommend Jennie!!

The class was very good as always! Jennie is very patient and encouraging! She also provides help to study outside the class and she answers any questions you may come up with. I’m looking forward to learning more Korean with Jennie! 감사합니다 제니씨 (๑･̑◡･̑๑)
