こんにちは! I’m Junko (じゅんこ). Thank you for your interest in my lesson. I was born and raised in rural Japan and now I share my language and culture in the US—with years of living abroad enriching my lessons. What do you like about Japan? Why would you like to speak Japanese? I love Japanese cultures, dramas and food. Let’s try talking about these in Japanese! It is totally okay to make mistakes because we can learn and grow from that. I have been teaching Japanese for about 3 years to all ages from toddlers to adults of various levels. Also, I always try my best to create a comfortable atmosphere so you don't feel pressured or too shy to express yourself. I specialize in helping learners speak confidently, using real-life topics and a Genki text book for grammar. I can explain in English if or when needed as well. So let's have fun learning Japanese together. いっしょに 楽しく 勉強しましょう! In my lessons, 🚩 Personalized instruction - Free topic conversation and/or use Genki textbooks and my original materials. (Depending on your interests and goals) 🚩 Practical Conversation Practice - I will gently correct your errors and guide you to use more natural expressions instead of sounding like a robot talking or in an uncommon way. 🚩 Relaxed and supportive atmosphere - where you can speak freely without worrying about making mistakes. 🚩My goal is that you enjoy the learning process and assist you speak Japanese with confidence. I'm looking forward to learning with you soon!

I've loved learning Japanese with Junko! I'm getting a lot of talking practice in and Junko helps a lot with breaking down new words, conjugations and sentence structures as they come up and also helping me with more natural ways of saying things. It's been really helpful doing a little everyday with her!

Lessons with Ms Junko are incrediply cordial and enjoyable. I feel I can freely try to speak freely, and even though I make a lot of mistakes, ms Junko cheers me on and gives me immediate feedback.
