Okay -- I have to write another review for Joaquín's classes. After working with him for a few months now, I can continue to say that he is one of the best teachers I've had. I feel lucky to be able to take 1:1 lessons like this and that I found him! He has lesson plans curated for you ahead of classes and really accommodates each students needs. It's clear he truly cares about his students and his work. He keeps the classes pleasantly interactive and always asks for feedback to make sure you're getting what you need. He is friendly, patient, and casual, but also professional, focused, and serious about your learning. I am always impressed and appreciative that he's also diligent in catching my grammar and pronunciation mess-ups, helping me clean them up. My Spanish has greatly improved since starting with him. I've noticed that I really look forward to our classes and I'm so grateful to be able to say that. Learning a language is hard and he's empathetic to this. Gracias Joaquín!!!

Joaquín is a great Spanish teacher for conversational practice. He’s easy to talk to, relaxed, and creates a comfortable atmosphere that makes speaking feel natural. He’s also well-informed on a variety of topics, so conversations stay engaging and interesting. Highly recommended if you want to improve your fluency in a natural, low-pressure way.

Joaquín’s lessons are a true cultural journey! My Spanish vocabulary has grown noticeably, and his patient, gentle corrections make learning enjoyable. Our conversations blend language, history and travel in a way that makes every class engaging and meaningful.

My lessons with Joaquín so far have been extremely productive, useful, and fun. I am a visual learner, so his method of writing notes as we converse is exactly what I need. After our session, I can also review the shared document to further my understanding of any misunderstandings, etc. He is great at keeping the flow going and if something is misunderstood during our conversation, Joaquín repeats the question but in a way that does not make me feel uncomfortable in any way. Lastly, I REALLY appreciate how he spends the last few minutes of class reviewing his written notes to me and asks if I have any questions. Good vibes, good conversation!! Highly recommended.

Joaquin is great! He really takes the time to make sure that I understand what I am saying or trying to say and not just parroting words back at him. He is also very patient and understanding when I butcher his language!
