My name is Serena, I'm 22 years old and I graduated in 2025 in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the University for Foreigners of Siena, where I studied English, French, and Chinese. I grew up in a bilingual Italian-Spanish family, and languages have always been a big part of my life. I speak English and Spanish at C2, French at B2, and Italian is my native language. During my bachelor's degree I joined the overseas mobility program, and I studied in Australia for a semester. This experience has allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local cultures. I am currently working with Save The Children to support language teaching projects, creating educational materials and activities. Growing up in a bilingual family, I understand how frustrating it can be sometimes to learn a new language, especially without the support of an experienced teacher. For this reason, I always strive to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where everyone is free to make mistakes and learn without pressure. I believe learning a language should be fun, and motivating. Together we can work on building the confidence and fluency you want to reach! I teach English, Italian, and Spanish. Generally during my lessons, I focus on the four main areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while also improving grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Had a very productive class with Serena. She provided several news articles for me to choose from and we read one together and I learned many different words and expressions, all the while discussing some relevant issues of the day.
