Soumya made me realize how important it is for me to be encouraged the way she encourages me, whenever I try to make sentences with a new word or whenever I try to understand new grammar, I really don't know how she does it, but I love that I just go for it and sometimes when I do get it right I do think that that would have not happened if I was scared to try,so that feeling of wanting to try anyways is what makes it worth learning,I am truly in awe of teachers like her.

Soumya makes it feel so easy to practice what we learned each lesson,she makes learning a new language exciting rather then daunting.

Soumya was very patient and was able to meet me at my level. When I asked her to slow down, she is able to write the sentences so I can understand what she is saying.

Soumya took her time explainining some basic grammar rules that were difficult for me to understand and she let me process it in my own time, she also doesn't mind repeating herself, she is extremely patient and doesn't mind meeting the student at whatever level they are at,that alone is incredibly encouraging not to give up.

Soumya is a great at keeping you engaged without putting too much focus on getting it right, she will allow you to practice saying a word without making you feel like you're under pressure.Malayalam is avery difficult language so I find she is the perfect teacher for me because of her personality, learning is important , but I need to feel at ease in order to do that, with that being said,I just feel at ease and the lesson feels like it has a natural flow and I enjoy taking her class.

Soumya is a really positive person, and tries to adjust the content of the class to the needs of the student. I got a very positive first impression of her.
