Hey there! My name is Josh, and I am excited to continue my English teaching career here on Italki. I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota and am currently living in Minneapolis. Traveling and learning about other countries and cultures are huge interests of mine. I have had the opportunity to travel to many different places and live abroad in both Japan and Sweden. Other core interests of mine include: baking, cross-country skiing, reading, watching T.V series and movies, cooking, hiking, biking, learning languages and most recently brewing beer. I have 2 years of English teaching experience, and over 5 years of general teaching experience. As a teacher I try to create a calm, warm and welcoming environment that enables students to feel safe and free from judgement. I am well aware of how difficult it can be to learn a new language and practice speaking skills. As an English teacher I hope to guide my students to build confidence and succeed in their language learning goals. My teaching style is quite flexible. I am happy to work with you to decide what works best for your learning style. If you just want to practice having natural conversations, no problem!
