Hi there, my name is Ting. Glad to have you here!
I was born in the U.S. but grew up living in many different countries. I am currently living in Taiwan and have a degree in Psychology. I am a native speaker of English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. I can also speak German at a conversational level and understand basic Japanese.
Some of my hobbies include reading, watching movies and documentaries, baking and traveling. Having discussions about cultures, human rights, psychology and current events is also something I enjoy doing. I'm into anime, manga and video games too;)ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
⭐Test preparation is not my specialty and I don't offer test prep lessons⭐
⭐Please note that my lessons are:⭐
• NOT for absolute beginners
• NOT for children under 12: Please contact me before booking a lesson for your child.
I have been working as a language teacher for about 6 years. I teach English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. As a teacher, I'm patient, friendly, open-minded and culturally aware. I am also a language learner myself so I can understand the struggle. I always do my best to make my students feel relaxed and confident when speaking in their target language. What I've learned from my experience is that there is no one-size-fits-all in language learning, so I always tailor my lessons to my student's need. All of my lessons are conversation-based, which means there will be a lot of listening and speaking practices. Because these tend to be the areas that learners have the most trouble in. However, we can also work on things like reading comprehension or vocab training if needed. We'll find what works best for you together!
