I had my first lesson with Sumika-sensei and I’m happy I found her! I’m usually quite shy when speaking, but she made me feel very comfortable and encouraged me to express myself without feeling nervous or embarrassed. Even when I didn’t understand something, she was patient and supportive, which made the lesson feel very relaxed and enjoyable. I had explained what I was looking for before the lesson, and I really appreciated how well she understood my goals and adapted to them. ✨🌸

I know I still have a lot to work on with my Japanese (N5), but learning with Sumika-sensei has been such a lovely experience! ☺️ Our lessons encourage me to step outside my comfort zone and practice speaking beyond what I learn in my textbooks. Sometimes, I find myself completely at a loss for words, but she is patient and encouraging, so I feel comfortable making mistakes and trying again. I’m really grateful for the confidence she helps me build, and I look forward to our future lessons! 💕
