Yet again, I am highly impressed with the MSA classes Amr gives: I feel my speaking is growing stronger by the day, and he is always patient and encouraging if I stumble with a grammatical form. Nonetheless, I am already getting used to manipulating the major tenses and the odd passive verb. A testament to his efficacy as a teacher, as I knew absolutely 0 Arabic when starting with him. We have mostly used a textbook to guide the learning process, but Amr is very insightful in hammering in the sections that are of greatest importance and skipping what I am already good at. He is especially good at detecting when I am unsure of a particular concept, and I am always satisfied with the resulting explanations. Aside from that, we are incorporating more oral practice into the lessons and am myself surprised at the range of topics we can already cover! I am excited to have even more enriching conversation when I am better at the language. A student at any level would be delighted to have him!

My conversations with Amr are always a highlight of my week. He is a total joy to study with. I really appreciate his relaxed, flexible, and patient style of teaching, because it puts me at ease to express what I want to say without being afraid of making mistakes. I know he will fix them very kindly! And besides being a dedicated and very caring teacher, he's also a wonderful human being: warm-hearted, open-minded, and with a great sense of humor! Like every other time I have talked with him, I left today's conversation with a big smile on my face, and grateful for all we talked about, and what I learned in the process (new words, grammatical distinctions, things about him or about Egypt I did not know about). I feel very blessed to have him as a teacher and friend.

I have been on the fence about picking up my Arabic studies again, and I'm really glad I found Amr. He is a very good listener and also patient when I am struggling to recall words and build more complex sentences. His speaking was well adapted to my level and was very comprehensible. Looking forward to continuing lessons in the future.

After many years of failed attempts to learn Arabic, I finally found Amr. He helped me unlearn mistakes I thought were already set in stone, and from there, we’ve been able to continue deepening my knowledge. He uses a variety of teaching materials, so lessons are never boring, and he’s always happy to help with anything outside the regular coursework as well. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the language.
