My name is Luiz Henrique and I am brazillian! Born and raised in the northeast of my country, I always loved everything about learning languages and even though I never had the opportunity of living abroad I still learned english, some french, chinese and spanish(very similar to portuguese, btw). I’m not a teacher and I don’t have a degree in education either(I am currently taking a Master’s in Pharmacology). Tutoring in italki is just a way I found for helping people in same journey as mine: practicing, teaching grammar and getting more confident speaking!

I’m also learning english, french, chinese and spanish all the time! I know how it feels to learn and master a foreign language. Portuguese may be hard for many reasons such as articles, word genders, not being a quite phonetic language, but just wanting to learn is enough! In our first meeting I can check your level and think about what material suits you better. Vocab boxes, practicing verbs and tenses, quizzes, memory games, grammar, sentence structure... We can make it all fun and turn the learning process into something pleasurable! I’ll give you some homework too if you need, select interesting news and articles for us to read and discuss together. Whatever specific topic you want to learn is also valuable! I've been learning Portuguese with Luiz and I couldn’t be happier. We've covered a wide range of topics in our classes, and he has really helped me improve my spoken Portuguese. A minha primeira aula de português foi uma experiência incrível! A atmosfera era muito animada e descontraída. Além disso, ele corrigiu os meus erros de pronúncia, o que foi muito útil para melhorar minha confiança ao falar.
