Hi! My name is Amanda and I am a certified English teacher from the USA. I am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) since December 2021 and have a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies and Communication. I currently teach English to new immigrants in Philadelphia and have experience teaching both adults and secondary school students in the U.S. and Spain.
I have taught English for 9+ years and would love to help you improve your English speaking and listening skills. I am passionate about studying Spanish so I know what it feels like to learn a foreign language. I enjoy traveling, eating new foods, and spending time with friends. Our lessons will focus on conversation practice. We will discuss different topics, ranging from food and culture to travel and family. I believe the best way to learn a new language is to speak with a native speaker. I will speak slowly and clearly to help you perfect your English language skills. My lessons are designed how YOU want them! Do you need to prepare for an interview that will be conducted in English? Do you need to practice English conversation for an upcoming casual meeting? I am happy to meet your needs through my lessons to focus the conversation towards vocabulary and subjects you need and want to practice. I also enjoy sending videos and articles to my students before lessons, so we can discuss the video or article's themes during the lesson.
