Stephanie

Stephanie is an excellent teacher. She is engaging and patient and makes the lessons fun and interesting. After my initial 30 minute trial session, I decided to continue with 1-hour lessons on a weekly basis. What I like about her approach is that while it is informal and chatty, she assesses my needs and focuses on specific areas systematically. I feel challenged and exhilarated after each lesson!

I live a very busy life (final year of my PhD), and I'm really good at what I do but learning/teaching languages is not my expertise! I wanted someone who can do to my french what an instructor does at a gym, I just grab my bag, show up, and they tell me what to do, what path we are taking and I can trust that my time is being 100% put towards my progress without getting involved in any of the planning. I tried two other teachers on italki, amazing people, but Stephanie is just in a different league! You'll be amazed by the amount of work she puts towards preparing the materials for you, correcting everything for you (outside of the class time) so you can go back and see your mistakes, preparing exercises handpicked for YOUR weaknesses and god targeting those really works! At the beginning of the class, she shows you the document she prepared for "YOU" for that session, tells you what the goals of the day are with all the steps to achieve them. I feel so lucky to have found her!

There was a technical problem with the italki platform. Both the teacher and I joined the lesson but we were not connected to each other. The italki video platform is not acceptable. There are problems in more than 50% of lessons. Many times we have to change video platform and this interrupts the lesson
