I grew up in Iran as the daughter of two teachers, which has given me insight into how they taught learners from a variety of backgrounds. I moved to Canada in 2010 and married a Canadian native English speaker. I taught on italki for a few years, but took some time off after having a daughter, but am now back to continue teaching with limited hours.
My lessons focus on all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), but spoken conversation is clearly the focus due to the nature of italki. I use a variety of tools to expose my students to an ever-increasing range of subjects to exercise and expand their conversation skills while keeping things light and fun. I'm also open to adapting my style to what the student is interested in.
As someone that has learned languages from scratch myself, I can put myself in your shoes and tailor my teaching to better suit your needs as they change. I always encourage my students to be patient and not worry about making mistakes. Confidence is often more important than accuracy!
I avoid the use of transliteration in my lessons, as I feel it is detrimental in the long-term. Having said that, my students are naturally free to use it themselves.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

We practiced conversation today. Samira is very patient and always makes sure the student is getting adequate spoken practice with the language by not just having the student to answer simply. She encourage her students to answer in full sentences when answering certain questions. Samira is a great teacher. I enjoy learning Persian with her. Thanks a lot =^_^=

I have been trying to learn Farsi for such a long time and Samira has been an amazing teacher. Whatever reason you might be thinking of booking a lesson; curious about this unique and beautiful language, or have a Persian in your life, Samira will be able to coach and guide you through personalized lessons.
I was so intimidated to begin learning Farsi, but am so glad I booked lesson with her. Each session has the right amount of motivation and new skills to build confidence through feedback and practice.

I really like classes with Samira, she creates a friendly place where you get to talk but also listen, as in a real conversation. I really like the fact that I can talk as slowly as I need and not feel pressure to find the words faster.
