Hello! My name is Samantha and I'm from Australia, but I live in Japan with my husband and one year old daughter. I'm a native English speaker, but I can also speak some Japanese. I have four years teaching English as a second language in a classroom setting in Japan and I also have some recent experience teaching online to Chinese students. During this time I have taught students from as young as one month old up to 16 years old. As a teacher for kids, I try to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible. My teaching style is fun and relaxed. I will always have a lesson plan, however I believe in following the student's lead to keep them engaged. As always, Uta enjoyed her lesson. She has always tailored her lessons according to his level so that he could understand easily. The most valuable thing I think is that she made a good customized lesson plan for him including learning the phonics. It has been amazing to see how much his English has improved in such a short time. I'm hoping he will learn from her more. Thank you so much!
