Hi there! My name is Drew and I am from North Carolina in the United States! I like to play video games and watch scary movies when I have the time! And I also have a passion for teaching and can help you improve your English!
In university I studied English linguistics and Japanese so I know the struggle of learning a language! It wasn’t until I studied in Japan that I realized that the best way to improve your language skills was by talking to native speakers.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
After I graduated university, I moved to Japan and taught English for 6 years and during that time I met and taught many different types of students. I taught business professionals, university students, school kids, and even the elderly! So I know how to adapt my lessons to fit the needs and level of the students in my class.
I also teach at a local international school in Boston, MA. The students come from many different countries from around the world, including Spain, France, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Japan, and others. I like to make lessons both fun and informative.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
I always like to have fun conversations and can talk about any topic you like! Like I said before, I like playing games and watching movies but I am also interested in news, other cultures, linguistics, history, and more! My teaching style is very kind and patient. TEFL - TESOL Certificate - TEFLEN Training College - 2020The TEFLEN Training College is an online institution that offers training to people wanting to teach English to ESL (English as a Second Language) students.
During my time at the TEFLEN Training College I studied how to teach lessons to different learners and the best practices to implement into lessons to make them engaging and informative. I also took several English grammar tests to prove my English knowledge. I also submitted a lesson plan to show my understanding of class flow.

I create lesson plans, plan activities for class, and administer progress tests to students. We had a structured lesson today. I always like Drew’s structured lesson. The article he gives me before the lesson is always interesting. Today’s one was about a coffee business company. It’s interesting as a real famous company’s story, but not only that, culture wise very interesting. At the beginning, I asked Drew about the things I couldn’t understand or wanted to make sure in the article. Then we discussed the part we felt interesting. Then extended the topic to both our countries’ situation and people’s preferences. It was so much fun ! I take Drew’s structured lesson once a month. Then lest of the weeks are free conversation lessons. I think it’s a good pace for me now.

We had a free conversation lesson today. As usual we had a good time. He showed me useful and good words during I was talking about something. “People use this word in this situation in English. “ “This word is better or hit the point of it” or so on. Drew’s lesson is always practical, usual and interesting! Our next lesson will be structured. I’m looking forward to having it !!

We had a free conversation lesson today. Drew talked me about a party with his friends. I felt one of the cultures in US. I also talked about my lunch party in the last weekend. Something he talked encouraged me a lot. Drew’s perspective is always fair and good ways of thinking . He showed me a good proverb. I ‘m going to check it for now. It’s on our Itaki chat board. He typed for me a lot. It’s very helpful.
