I'm Machi, a Japanese native speaker. Until 2017 I lived in Shanghai, worked there for 6 years as a business and IT consultant with person from asian and Europe countries, so I'm able to have communication with you in English and Chinese (但是初中级。我在视频中讲中文，请看一下).I like traveling. While I was in China, I traveled to HongKong, Macau, Taiwan, Germany, French, Italy, Singapore,,,, and after coming back to Japan I went to several places domestically, such as Hokkaido, Shikoku, Kyoto. So if you have plans to visit these spots (and Tokyo, I grew up in Tokyo.), I happily give you recommendation. And I like browsing internet, pop-culture, IT technology, and seeing/hearing something new.

When I was working at a consulting firm, I had a lot of training classes for new business or new IT system to clients in English or Japanese, which needed careful word selection, and sometimes needed to teach the meaning of words from scratch. I hope these experience help you. I am interesting in teaching Japanese and English as a second career after consulting work, studying how to teach now. I have a master’s degree and my major in university were law and politics, and environmental problem, and my expertise in office was business reform and IT implementation for industry of manufacturing, retail, education realm etc.

My lesson will be focused on oral conversation, however, can offer various contents like general conversation, business, travel and "rocket-start" Japanese for those who've already decided to live in Japan but not enough daily Japanese. I offered around 700 lessons so far and I’m able to teach business Japanese, terminologies required in office , in sending mails to Japanese, and culture gap and points you have to pay attention to in communication with Japanese. If you are interested in a specific realm or topic, please let me know in advance :).

Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test - Japan Educational Exchanges and Services - 2020This test certifies the person who passed it have reached a basic level as a specialist in teaching Japanese as a foreign language. To pass this test, we need to get systematic knowledge of teaching Japanese and adaptability of teaching field. Government organization defines one of the conditions is to hold this qualification and the holder is allowed to teach Japanese at schools recognized by Ministry of Justice.

Machi-sensei's overwhelming charisma and teaching sense not only express how genuine of a person she is but also reveal the incredibly natural talent she has for communicating and delivering information, be it Japanese or otherwise. It is impossible not to be inspired by her character during a lesson, and she always caters to the student's learning style and needs. You can be sure that you'll learn a multitude of new things each lesson. Despite teaching for a relatively short amount of time according to Machi-sensei, as an educator myself, have no doubt she has the talent to teach at a university level someday if she so wished.
