Moi! Hi! Salut! I am a professional Finnish teacher, a native Finn with long experience in teaching. Since 2016, I have been teaching Finnish as a second language, both in high school and through private tutoring. I teach both basics to beginners and I help intermediate students (A2-B2 levels) to find courage to talk and refine their writing to be more native-like. Many of my students share a common challenge: they understand written Finnish but struggle with spoken communication—a gap I am adept at bridging. As a lifelong language learner myself, particularly passionate about French, I understand the challenge! When not teaching, I do hiking, knitting, yoga.. Mä voin auttaa sua oppimaan! I'm a professional, positive, encouraging teacher, who gives to you materials, tasks and regular feedback. Learning can be fun! With me you won't be afraid to speak in Finnish, I'm patiant and helping you. I believe that everyone can learn and I'll do my best to find the ways that makes learning easy for you. I have graduated from the University of Helsinki and accomplished Finnish language studies in the University of Jyväskylä. I have bee teaching Finnish on all levels since 2016, to the beginners as well as to the advanced students. I have many students who have the common problem: osaat lukea ja ymmärrät kirjakieltä, mutta et ymmärrä tavallista puhetta. Jutta is an excellent teacher, her experience in teaching finnish was quite visible to me. Our lessons have been pretty good so far, she makes comfortable environment to learn and speak. And is also professional in notes making and comes prepared.

Jutta has such a strong command for explaining complicated topics simply. Our lessons are always in finnish, but I thought we would have to default to talking in english for a little bit because there was one topic I was really struggling to understand. Jutta found a way to explain it in finnish in a way that made perfect sense to me! Amazing lesson!

fantastic lesson! was show several ways how to re-word my finnish text into a more natural way a native would say it. also focused on some grammar when the issues came up, but i left with many actionable notes i can use when writing in the future. also, her explainations (while in finnish) were very, very clear - highly recommend!
