Hi! 😊 My name is Anna Szakács, and I’m a native Hungarian speaker from Debrecen, Hungary. Over the years, I’ve also lived abroad in Italy, Ireland, and France. I worked as an au pair in Italy 🇮🇹, completed my university studies in Ireland at University College Cork 🇮🇪, where I studied languages and cultures (English, French, and Italian), and later took part in a European Solidarity Corps volunteering project in France. 🇫🇷 Because of my own experience learning and using foreign languages in real-life situations, I understand both the challenges and the emotional side of language learning — and I always aim to create a supportive, comfortable environment where students feel safe to learn and speak. I’m generally a very patient, empathetic, and open-minded person, and I always adapt my lessons to my students’ individual goals, pace, and personality. ✨ Currently, I offer two types of Hungarian lessons: 1️⃣ Beginner Hungarian Lessons Structured lessons for students starting from scratch or building their foundation in Hungarian. We focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and speaking step by step. 2️⃣ Hungarian Conversation Practice (B1+) Relaxed but meaningful conversation lessons for intermediate and advanced learners who want to become more fluent and confident in spoken Hungarian. I had a very nice first lesson with Anna. She is incredibly patient and kind and is also very helpful and supportive. She is very interested in making lessons as productive and meaningful as possible and even asked about some Hungarian resources I am currently using so that she can familiarize herself with possible questions I may have or concepts I'm learning about! I'm looking forward to future lessons!
