Adoro conectar culturas através do ensino! Morei na Irlanda por 3 anos e meio, visitei 18 países e hoje trago essa bagagem multicultural para minhas aulas de inglês e português. Sou apaixonada por ajudar alunos a ganharem confiança na comunicação, seja para viagens, negócios ou dia a dia.
Antes de me tornar professora há 13 anos, trabalhei por mais de 10 anos como assistente financeira e de RH — experiência que me ensinou a adaptar conteúdos às necessidades individuais. Quando não estou ensinando, você me encontra correndo (literalmente!) ou explorando novos livros e filmes. Vamos aprender juntos?

I began my teaching career at Wise Up, a language school in Diadema, São Paulo, where I worked for two and a half years teaching adults and teenagers. During this time, I developed professionally through daily training and classroom experience.
I hold the Cambridge TKT Modules 1, 2 and 3, TKT: Knowledge About Language, and a Cambridge CAE certification (2023). Today, my teaching focuses on each student’s individual challenges.

Wow, what a great first lesson!! I've already had a lot of great lessons here on italki and I'm all the time grateful for every lesson I have, but this was by far the best I've ever had!! Jo is amazing!! Her energy and passion to teach is positively contagious. It made so much fun to talk to her and even though I'm a beginner in Portuguese I had a great feeling talking to her in a relaxed atmosphere.

I loved my lesson with Jô today. We covered some Brazilian history and used song lyrics to test my listening. We also talked about some grammatical differences between Portuguese and English. Muito obrigada pelo lição ótimo!
