Practicing ProfessorI served as a student teacher of Spanish as a foreign language for the Academic Cooperation Project between Istinye University (Turkey) and the El Tulipán Cultural Association (Peru) between March 3 and June 4, 2025, during which time I completed a total of 14 hours of teaching practice.

Sra. Ruiz Vasquez was very easy to chat with and understand. She had a calm, positive deminer. It was guided conversation with grammar tips. The conversation did not drift much. She provided me with materials to discuss for the next lesson. So far, I am very happy to work with Sra. Ruiz Vasquez; and am excited to continue with our lessons. Such great conversations with Betina! She keeps the flow going with great questions and personal anecdotes. I like how she uses the chat for new words so I can review after class. Betina is one of my favorite teachers as she is attentive and encouraging.

I really enjoyed my lesson! The professor is excellent and explained the differences between desde, hace, and desde hace very clearly. She used great examples in both English and Spanish, which made everything much easier to understand. Highly recommended! She is very patient and speaks at a level that is easy to understand. I feel much more confident now despite those questions were tricky for me at the beginning.
