Hi there, my name is Lana, currently I’m a teacher, private tutor with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Linguistics. I’m a qualified translator and my specialization is Chinese, English and Ukrainian.
I really like to learn new languages, so this year I started to learn the 5th language - Romanian. So I totally understand the difficulties that you may face during the learning process, and can help you with providing some useful tips to master foreign language as much as you can. I am a private tutor with a 2 years of experience. I have experience to teach Chinese as a on-line tutor and when I moved to Romania, I taught Ukrainian as a volunteer. The main goal for our lessons will be creating a friendly atmosphere to let you feel relaxed. We will focus on the topics you wish to learn with an emphasis on speaking, learning the basic Ukrainian. You will need to tell me your level, your hobbies, your goals before class begins, and I will prepare related materials such as videos and articles for our class.
If you want to learn Ukrainian by a textbook, I will prepare and use a textbook content to teach you conversation skills, new vocabulary, grammar etc.

Svitlana is a delight -- though I've been studying mostly on my own for 5 months, I haven't done much speaking of Ukrainian, and so this conversation practice had me very nervous and forgetting everything I knew.
Svitlana was very comforting though, and helped explain meanings of words in English as she spoke. She also allowed me to speak English in my answers if I didn't have the Ukrainian. She then taught me how to say those answers in Ukrainian.
Svitlana never seemed annoyed or upset at the need for some English in our conversation, and I so very deeply appreciate that -- she was very patient, and her energy is so very positive! I had a truly delightful trial lesson and will be booking further lessons with Svitlana!

I have really enjoyed working with Svitlana. She is a patient teacher and has really helped me with my Ukrainian. I have gone from having quite a basic and primitive level in the language to being an effective speaker of the language. I can only recommend taking lessons with Svitlana as she is always patient and asks questions to help push my understanding. Similarly, I have been given lots of useful examples of language as part of our lessons, which have also been sent to me after the lesson. Thank you for all of your help, Svitlana. I look forward to another lesson soon.
