Hi! My name is Serena, and I'm really looking forward to working with you on iTalki, and seeing your language skills improve! I enjoy hiking in the summer and alpine skiing in the winter. I always love to read a good book and am always open to suggestions! One of my passions is learning languages. I've studied Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, Cantonese, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL).ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I hold a Master's of Arts in Chinese & Pedagogy at Middlebury College. I teach Mandarin Chinese at a U.S. based high school, and also teach Mandarin and English online. As someone who's learned Chinese to fluency myself, I know first-hand the tricks it takes to learning a foreign language efficiently and effectively. I tailor my lessons to meet each individual students' needs. Each lesson is self-paced. I try to speak the target language as much as possible, and often make use of TPR, Scaffolding, and Question-Repeat-Answer format.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

I like having class with Teacher Serena. This is my third class with Teacher Serena. We are currently using a news app to learn. After class, the teacher sends me homework. I can review the Chinese words learned during class. I think it’s useful to learn current events, also very interesting. I recommend Teacher Serena. See you next time. Thanks!

Serena S. is an excellent teacher and her lesson was challenging, interesting and enjoyable. During the lesson she introduced me to a plethora of new vocabulary, and phrases, and corrected my enunciation of certain words when needed. Furthermore, she discussed a wide range of topics which gave me the chance to expand upon my vocabulary. 谢谢老师！
