Greetings! I am Pablo, a certified Spanish instructor and historian specializing in Latin American studies. Since 2018, I have been delivering online Spanish instruction, integrating linguistic education with the cultural richness of our region. My academic background in history allows me to offer a unique perspective, blending language acquisition with historical and cultural insights. I have extensive international experience, having taught Spanish and Argentine tango across South America and Europe. From 2015 to 2020, I operated a boutique guesthouse in Buenos Aires, where I conducted immersive Spanish and tango programs for international visitors. My main focus as a teacher is that you manage to talk and communicate fluently in Spanish. For that purpose we will work with text books, authentic material, grammar etc.
You will learn new vocabulary, new grammar and new expressions in every class, and the goal is to use them in conversation in every class.
If you are an intermediate/advanced student and you want to practice only conversation, we will do it in a fluent way, focused on your topics of interest and correcting possible mistakes, pronunciation and intonation.

I use the communicative method on my classes, so we will focus everything you learn to use it in communication. We can work with text books, articles, song lyrics and everything that is your topic of interest. I need to pass the Spanish Praxis, where I need to be able to understand, discuss and write about various topics. I have only met with Pablo twice and already I know he is the perfect fit - today we talked about global warming and the environment, and about technology; as we talk about various ideas and opinions, I learn phrases and words in context. It's perfect. Pablo is interesting and easy to connect with. I highly recommend visiting with him to see if he is a good fit for your goals.

Great lesson with Pablo tonight! In addition to practicing conversational Spanish, we also did some work in our book on expressions. I feel like this will help me communicate in a richer manner, and will also help me sound a little more like a native speaker.

Enjoyed talking with Pablo about current events as well as about our homes. This gave me a chance to learn some of the more common words for different rooms and appliances in the house. This has been great for me because I do not typically get a lot of chances to practice my conversational Spanish during the week. My comprehension of spoken Spanish has improved dramatically since working with Pablo.

Hoy practicamos más español conversacional. Gracias a Pablo, cada vez me resulta más fácil seguir la conversacion sin necessidad de usar el inglés. También trabajamos en el tiempo subjuntivo, que sique siendo bastante desafiante para mí.
