Monica is the best teacher I have found on iTalki. We practice all four skills and my Spanish is improving rapidly. She is interesting to talk to and the lessons are really fun. Monica speaks clearly and uses a wide range of simple yet interesting materials. I am always amazed at how much I understand when I'm in a lesson with her. Highly recommended!

Mónica is not only an excellent tutor in the skillsets one would expect, but brings a creativity and a breadth of cultural background, knowledge and familiarity that is rare. If you have interests in literature, theatre or the arts in general, she will find and offer those as a conduit for the language learning, so that one finds oneself with many new resources to continue learning on more than one level.

My only problem with this teacher is finding the words to describe what she does so well! Each lesson, which can vary in format from one to another, ends up being interesting and fun in some way. I feel like I'm always learning something new, and it just happens to be in Spanish.

Mónica is an exceptional teacher who is highly creative and has a deep cultural appreciation, she integrates language learning with fun activities and imaginative teaching methods. Mónica creates a confortable place to talk about anything from cultural insights to societal norms and personal growth. Her approach embodies the reason why we learn new languages.

This teacher just makes things fun! In translating a song, for example, there are always several possible words or ways to express a thought and the context or "feel" of the music is as important a factor as the exactly correct words.

Monica does great preparation and understands exactly where I need help and practice.
