I returned to the US in 2017 and have continued English tutoring online. I also continue studying Japanese as much as I can. The goal is for you to speak as much as possible. Unless you start speaking first, I will start speaking to you to get the conversation going. This isn't an interview (unless you want to practice for that), so I do my best to emulate natural conversation. I think I would be a suitable tutor for intermediate and advanced learners. While we're chatting, I can type corrections and suggestions in the chat box for how to speak better. If you need me to speak slower or repeat myself, please don't hesitate to ask. *Please read the class descriptions for more details about my lessons* I prefer to gradually update my schedule to avoid lesson cancellations on my end as much as possible. I do my best to have my availability posted up to 2 weeks in advance.
I conduct primarily conversation-based tutoring sessions. I can correct your pronunciation and explain unclear words and phrases. We can practice reading, and I can check short documents such as e-mails and speeches for errors and clarity. Maybe you would like to practice for an upcoming oral presentation.
