JOE’s lessons have been absolutely amazing! As a former IELTS examiner, he has an outstanding understanding of the test itself, but more than that, his ability to teach English is truly exceptional. To be honest, finding a good writing tutor hasn’t been easy for me. I often felt that many lessons weren’t much different from just using AI feedback. But his class was completely different from anything I’ve experienced before. He’s not only incredibly skilled, but also creates such a warm and encouraging atmosphere that makes it easy to stay focused and comfortable throughout the lesson. He has a great sense of humor, too, which really helps keep the class positive and enjoyable. I got a 7.5 after 6 classes with Joe! He focused on how to pass the exam and maximize the score instead of English language itself. As a result, you can see a big leap in just several days! I won’t lie. I think Joe is a very professional examiner-style teacher. His scoring standards and accuracy are even better than many current examiners with years of experience. Maybe if I met a less experienced examiner, I could somehow get a slightly higher score, but that wouldn’t reflect my real ability. The problems he pointed out are all things I truly need to pay attention to. I may not reach my target score in this exam, but as long as I have a clear direction and know what to work on, I feel confident with his help.
