Sandy is truly a wonderful teacher. Simplesmente maravilhosa! She manages to keep me engaged through the usage of materials which are interesting to me and just slightly above my level of profiency to maximize the comprehensible input. My portuguese has improved a lot thanks to our lessons. The way I'm being corrected is both timely and thoughtful which makes talking during class much more inviting and less scary. She has an open mind and positive spirit. She is professional and trustworthy which all together makes her an excellent teacher for whomever is still looking to improve his or her portuguese. Sandy is simply fabulous! She tailors our lessons to fit my level of Portuguese and takes her time to explain concepts, meanings, and rules. She makes sure I properly pronounce any new words I learn and gives me time to take notes during our lessons. Ela e ótima!

Sandy was wonderful to work with. She made me feel completely at ease from the start, kind, friendly, and genuinely warm throughout our whole session. I brought her a short Portuguese song I'd written for a children's book, and she was incredibly thorough, she double-checked a grammar point not once but twice to make absolutely sure she gave me the right answer, rather than just a quick guess. I really enjoyed my time with her and would happily book with her again.
