Hsu Jiayun

I love my classes with Jiayun. The times flies by and I always feel motivated after class. She readily adapts the class to my interests and has an impressive collection of resources to supplement the class. She is super kind and encouraging, as well as professional and organized. I am looking forward to progressing with my Mandarin.

Amazing teacher, who helped me a lot with my Mandarin. Skills and knowledge that Frances helps you to gain are invaluable. Frances loves her job and cares about the progress of her students. You'll start speaking Mandarin incredibly soon and your path to excellence will be fun and smooth. I highly and sincerely recommend Frances to everyone who wants to master this not-so-easy language.

I really enjoyed my trial lesson with Jiayun! We discussed my reasons for wanting to learn Mandarin and she took the time to hear the few words I learned on my own. With that, she gave me a list of resources for me to get started on learning/practicing and then we spent the last of our time working on speaking/pronunciation. Although I’m quite shy and a little embarrassed with my beginner pronunciation, Jiayun has a very kind personality that makes me feel very comfortable and she was very helpful with correcting my mistakes. I’m looking forward to our next lesson!

There are teachers that are simply good at speaking their mother tongue. Jiayun however is that kind of a teacher that knows every trick in the book. She literally knows every online tool and language smartphone app and she’s really trying to include new approaches of language learning. I enjoy her lessons a lot and it makes me feel a little awkward when she‘s better prepared than me 😳

Excellent, excellent. Immediately understood my needs and my challenges. Taught me one sure fire really impactful way to quickly facilitate my progress. Was extremely helpful and gave me much relief and support. She was so efficient and clear. Talked about where I am and what we can do moving forward. Understood exactly what my goals are and planned for the next lesson. She’s so understanding and kind. Approachable, accessible, easy to follow and understanding. I found my teacher and will work with her!

Learning with Jiayun Hsu is both engaging and fun. She is really patient but good at calling out when my pronunciation isn’t just right.
