Great first lesson with Sawako-sensei! She created a very easygoing/enjoyable virtual classroom from the very beginning of the lesson. She was great at asking questions that got me talking, and meeting me at my level. She explained her teaching style clearly, and dropped in new vocabulary naturally. Looking forward to more lessons!

I have loved learning Japanese with Sawako over the past year. Even though I make mistakes all the time she is so encouraging and always makes me laugh too 😊 I feel like I have improved so much by speaking with her, she's a wonderful teacher.

I'm having classes with Sawako sensei weekly for almost a year now. During all this time we never had a bad or unproductive class. She has a great ability to match my speed and make me learn in the weeks that I studied a lot and in the weeks that I couldn't study at all. I recommend her classes for anyone learning the language and I will continue to study with her.
