🇬🇧 Born in Ukraine, have been living in the UK for over 15 years. I'd love to help you learn English in a way that I wish it was taught to me!

Outside the classroom, I'm into video games, photography, Japanese culture, but also, to my own surprise, baking! You can be sure that all of my lessons will include at least one The Great British Bake-off reference.

Having received formal education in both Ukraine and the UK, and having built my career between both countries over the past decade, I have a strong background in academic, creative, and business writing, that will definitely be helpful to the students trying to navigate different social scenarios. I am patient and understanding with students, and believe that by alleviating the frustration of trying to learn a language in this way, my students are more likely to continue learning, which in language-learning is the most important part!

I try to find a personalised approach to every student. Everyone learns differently and it is important to me that my students don't just memorise rules and exceptions, but instead truly come to understand why a part of language is the way that it is.
I conduct my lessons using:
- "English Grammar in Use" and "Oxford English Grammar Course" Textbook Series
- Various IELTS Prep. Books & Materials
- Real-life English (Podcasts, YouTube Videos, Social Media)

I would definitely recommend Nick as an English teacher. From the very beginning, I wanted my lessons to be focused more on communication and less on traditional grammar drills — and that’s exactly how our lessons go. We just talk on different topics, and Nick knows how to keep the conversation flowing, so it always feels natural and interesting.
At the same time, he points out my mistakes and clearly explains how things actually work, which helps me improve much faster. He has a real talent for explaining things in a simple and understandable way. I truly enjoy our lessons and feel that this format suits me perfectly. Highly recommended!

Nick is an exceptionally wonderful teacher! I learned so much in just an hour’s lesson. He’s not only patient and kind but also really insightful and enthusiastic, which makes learning all the more fun. Nick genuinely listens and tunes into exactly what you need, and focused the lesson on areas I wanted to work on. His approach was personalized and thoughtful, and he addressed all my questions and explained things with patience and clarity.
The over all learning process was both fun and engaging. I left our session feeling motivated and excited about my progress, I'm looking forward to more lessons!
