Sophie Langer

Sophie is, in a sentence, the example of why iTalki is a huge success in the language learning process. She is energetic, motivating, knowledgeable and super friendly. The conversation just flows with a very good pace however she is still able and keen to correct and provide input on our own speech. It is also nice that we can talk/discuss a wide variety of topics. The reason why I use iTalki is because I am looking for something that traditional classes (schools) can't provide. I am not looking for a standardized way to learn a language together with 20 peers through extensive repetitio... but rather to have something personal, that works for me, and that allows me to develop my own thoughts and interests in the new target language. This is in my opinion the right way to learn a language - it is at least the most interesting, efficient and sustainable in the long run. All these things that I was looking for I found with Sophie. She is of course, someone I gladly recommend.

I’ve taken more than 70 lessons with her. She has always been a great person to talk to, and has not just become a great teacher, but also a great friend. I would highly recommend her for someone who is just looking to be social and to have fantastic conversations with.

Sophie is simply a magnificent person and I can't believe how lucky I am to have struck gold on my first German lesson here on iTalki after a long absence. Behind her most affable demeanour hides an extremely sharp spirit, ebullient intellectual vigour and deep insights and knowledge regarding the German language. My first 1-hour lesson with Sophie was simple yet stupendously effective - definitely one of the most productive hours of my life! She provided such efficient pronunciation tips ("huge") and gave sense to all the words. Sophie also displayed such patience and kindness towards a beginner, which really motivates me to get to a better level as soon as possible. Above all, I'm so grateful for how naturally Sophie was able to adapt to the way I learn, and for the connivance we share with regards to our approach to language-learning. Sophie radiates with an inner shine, and I have the certainty that I will be able to progress with her help. I cannot wait for my next lesson!

Bueno, ya que en 2022 en Preply no me comporté muy bien dos 1-2 profesores, siendo bastante duro con la última, ese sentimiento de culpabilidad me va a empujar a siempre poner la mejor nota a cualquier profesor, independientemente de que con Sophie ha ido bien. Lo bueno de iTalki es que puedo probar una pequeña conversación con muchos profesores, pero creo que en el plano psicológico ella es posiblemente la que más me conviene.
