Hello! I’m originally from Philadelphia, USA, but I currently live in New York. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and English Education from Columbia University. I am not currently accepting young children.
I’m passionate about languages and cultures, and I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many countries, meeting people from all over the world. In my free time, I enjoy lifting weights, running, yoga, meditation, hiking, and spending time in nature.

I adapt my lessons to your level, your needs, and your pace. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are the main pillars of learning a language, but I believe everyone learns in their own unique way. My classes can include games, songs, articles, essays and real-life discussion topics to make learning both effective and enjoyable!

Matthew 老师是一位非常耐心和专心的老师。在上课的时候，他总是认真地听我说话，并且耐心地纠正我的发音和表达。他会用很清晰、简单的方式解释问题，让我更容易理解。和他上课让我感觉很轻松，也更有信心开口说英语。我非常感谢他的帮助，也很期待继续和他学习。
Matthew is a very patient and attentive teacher. During the lesson, he always listens carefully to what I say and patiently corrects my pronunciation and expressions. He explains things in a very clear and simple way, which makes it much easier for me to understand. Learning with him feels relaxed, and it also gives me more confidence to speak English. I really appreciate his help and look forward to learning more with him.
