I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Another great lesson with Miguel! A great mix of casual conversation and practicing with a role playing situation. The role playing situations Miguel comes up with are always helpful, since they go through things I need to be able to say in Tagalog (such as things you would need to say when shopping/buying things), but that I wouldn't end up talking about just through casually chatting with a conversation partner. Maraming salamat, Miguel!

Another great class with Miguel! We spent half the time talking casually and the other half of the time practicing speaking through a role playing scenario. He is always very patient, which makes it easy to talk without getting too stuck on worrying about making mistakes!
