I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about what we'd been doing over the past couple weeks, and then we did a roleplaying exercise in Tagalog where I pretended to be the owner of a startup company attending an IT/business conference. Maraming salamat!

In this lesson, we ended up doing translation practice from English to Tagalog, which really showed me my weak points and where I needed to improve. Edison was very patient despite me struggling a lot! Maraming salamat ulit!
