I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Another great class with Miguel! We spent half the time talking casually and the other half of the time practicing speaking through a role playing scenario. He is always very patient, which makes it easy to talk without getting too stuck on worrying about making mistakes!

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some freeform conversation with a good mix of topics (some casual things, some more serious issues) and then did another really helpful roleplaying exercise. Maraming salamat!

Another great lesson with Miguel! A great mix of casual conversation and practicing with a role playing situation. The role playing situations Miguel comes up with are always helpful, since they go through things I need to be able to say in Tagalog (such as things you would need to say when shopping/buying things), but that I wouldn't end up talking about just through casually chatting with a conversation partner. Maraming salamat, Miguel!
