Hello everyone, my name is Olivia. I was born and raised in Seoul and now I am currently living in Germany. So Korean is my mother tongue and I speak fluent English.
I’m learning German. So I understand what it’s like to learn a foreign language from nothing! I’d say, it’s quite challenging but it’s also a very fun and exciting journey. I hope my learners will feel the same way, learning Korean or English.

I think the most important quality as a teacher is the ability to encourage learners. Learning a language is not always easy and there are ups and downs. And it requires quite a bit of efforts and dedication. I believe that a good teacher makes learning more pleasant even when learners bump into obstacles, and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can speak without feeling nervous. So I try to be a good listener. I also try to make each class fun and helpful with lots of preparation.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
I think the biggest strength of my class is that I quickly notice the different learning styles and needs of each student. I try to make the best of 1:1 tutoring by satisfying individual needs. It is ideal to improve all four skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking) but every learner is different and has different learning styles. So I try to respect the differences. Secondly, also important is having fun while learning! I try to create a relaxed atmosphere with my students so that they can speak without feeling nervous and learn by making mistakes. Olivia is an excellent teacher!!
She accepted my request of using materials from my institute to practice conversation.
I was a little bit nervous but she encouraged me to speak Korean the whole time and that was perfect. I just had the first class but I will continue taking classes with her.

olivia was very kind and my first teacher - i had problems on italki and she helped me move over to zoom. very understanding and light-hearted. i recommend taking her :-)
