I spent months messing around with other French teachers on Italki until I found Adrian or as I like to call him Monsieur el Bennani 先生博士さん. Then my search was over, Adrian has been my only French tutor for the past 2 years and we have done hundreds of lessons together and talked about many deep and meaningful topics. I have witnessed his milestones and personal journey as he has mine. I can safely say I consider Adrian a friend and cannot wait to visit him in Japan. Please do yourself a favour and book your lessons with him, he is an incredible, intellectual, humble, patient, kind, and compassionate person and teacher. He has deep knowledge of French, English, Chinese, and Japanese. He has PhD level knowledge of Asian culture, history, and linguistics. Furthermore, his life experience and advice for living overseas and adapting to new cultures and way of life is unparalleled.

Adrian's lessons are always very interesting, we talk about a wide variety of topics and he is very patient. With his lessons I have made great progress in improving my French language skills. Merci beaucoup Adrian, t'as vraiment m'aidé!

Adrian的中文，英文（应该还有日语）都很溜，而且相当了解中国。我上了15堂课，然后考过了TCF。因为Adrian帮我把最近两个月的题目都差不多练了一遍。对于难搞的题目他会给出有效的论点。同时对于不同主题他都会提出相关的问题，于是我可以在想新的论点的同时锻炼用法语思考的能力，所以我觉得这样备考是相当有效的。 I successfully passed the TCF (and also the CELPIP) thanks to Adrian’s help. He always provided insightful arguments for even the most challenging topics, and he explained clearly how I could improve my expressions. The most important thing is that he knows a wide range of subjects, which made the conversations a great pleasure. J’ai pris 15 cours avec Adrian, et il m’a aidé à réussir le TCF. On a pratiqué beaucoup de sujets variés, et Adrian m’a donné de nombreux arguments inspirants pour les sujets difficiles. Ainsi, j’ai appris beaucoup d’expressions et j’ai enrichi mon vocabulaire. En même temps, il m’a toujours posé des questions sur les sujets, ce qui m’a encouragé à prendre l’habitude de penser en français. En somme, J’ai passé beaucoup de bons moments en pratiquant le français avec Adrian !

I really enjoy the class. It feels like a conversation between friends, which makes me feel very relaxed while also gaining something from it.

Beyond being a good teacher, Adrian is a really good guy. I used to take lessons with him in 2025, so it was great to talk with him again. Highly recommend if you're looking for a personable teacher who makes the lessons fun.
